Prototype Build of the 65CR

When I took possession of the 65CR body, it was sitting on a partial frame attached to a wheeled sled. It came with a C4 front and rear suspension and a PPG C2 windshield. The original plan had been to use a C4 donor suspension. That is no longer viable.

Moving forward, a square tube spaceframe with a round tube cage will be developed. The partial frame was separated and repurposed. The C4 suspension sold. The sled was cut, straightened, and converted to a chassis table.

The body is in good shape, though errors were discovered. The body has been fixtured to the floor in the shop. Some rework is required to the front end, right-front quarter, left-rear quarter, and the side rockers. Mock-up of the cockpit chassis tubes continues on the body to inform the modifications needed on the side rocker areas.
